You Rock!

This post is dedicated to all my wonderful, sassy, fun & sophisticated customers. You gals & guys rock! Thanks so much for your support and encouragement. I truly appreciate your business. I would not be where I am today without your support...so a HUGE Thank You to you from the bottom of my heart.

I am honoured and extremely thankful to my customers who have mentioned me as one of their favourite jewelry designers. I love creating custom pieces for people that have special meaning and sentimental value.

I recently received a heart warming feedback that I would like to share with you:

"I just wanted to let you know that my necklace arrived in the mail today and it's beautiful. I absolutely love it. It's perfect! My brother and I were very close and his passing has been an enormous loss for me. I will wear this necklace to honour him and remind me of his ever lasting spirit. The additional birthstone was a great suggestion. I love the fact that you collaborate with your clients. Again, all your extra touches and your true dedication towards your jewelry designing is so much appreciated. Thank you for making timeless pieces that represent important people and events in my life...I plan to order more pieces for myself and for gifts for friends. I love wearing a necklace that represents everything important in my life. Congrats Carmen for helping others tell their story through jewelry!"~By Kathleen

This necklace was created for the Fessenden School 50th Anniversary. The bones of this design was created with one of my sterling silver eternity charms {one of my best sellers}...but with an added twist. I added three custom school colours to represent PRIDE and SPIRIT, along with a sterling silver rolo chain. This necklace is sure to please any student or teacher.

Yours in Design,

Have you caught the ETSY bug yet?

Hello dear friends and followers,

Have you ever wondered where you can find that unique, special item that you have always wanted, but never found...perhaps it was something you saw in a magazine, or something a stranger was wearing, or simply something that you imagined...and thought would be so cool...if you finally found it? Well, guess what...Etsy.com might be the perfect spot to find that special "handcrafted" item...the so called lost item that you never owned...until you saw it, and absolutely had to have it "item". Not only do I sell on Etsy {cbdesignstudio.etsy.com}, I have become an avid Etsy shopper in less than 6 months! Yes, it's true and very dangerous. When I need something "or think I need something" I search on Etsy first, then eBay and Kijiji, before hitting the local shops. I have to admit, I love finding great items online.

I recently received an email from Yoyomama.com {a fabulous website for moms on the go} that spoke specifically about shopping on Etsy:

"This community of crafty people is all about buying, selling and living handmade by connecting makers of one-of-a-kind, funky items with buyers who appreciate their uniqueness. If you love finding treasures for your babes and yourself that are anything but run of the mill, you’ll love Etsy. But be warned, once you start poking about you’ll find it hard to stop...But the best thing about Etsy is that with hundreds of thousands of sellers in over 150 countries you’re bound to find something for every taste, style and budget." To read the full article, please go to the Sept 9, 2009 posting http://www.yoyomama.ca/category/stuff/

A few of my favourites include:

Econica.etsy.com for stylish organic and Eco-friendly handmade clothing. I recently purchased a gorgeous wrap top...and LOVE it!

HandKnitHugs.etsy.com for a cozy collection of knits for babies and small children.

FreshandCleansoaps.etsy.com for awesome soaps, body scrubs, creams, lip balms and much more.

Beansproutstudio.etsy.com for custom invitations, announcements & photo cards.

Happy shopping!
